For example, if you are holding a number card, then the least possible value that you can get is three and the highest possible value that you can get is two. All the kings and the queens and the joker lie between two and three. The value of the card also depends upon the suit which it belongs to, and the heart is the highest valued suit while the spade is the lowest valued suit.

You need to understand that the suit also does not represent anything if the number is different. For example, a 10 of spades is much higher than the 3 of hearts.
